The gang are getting back together to save Crystal Cover from the Crybaby Clown terrorizing the town when the new mayor Jenet Nettles helps them, but Daphne won't come back as she has a new boyfriend, the star from Vampire Dust! At the end, the villain escapes because Daphne doesn't rejoin the team and Fred is heart-broken!

You know what. That’s another problem with shows like this. They’re written like Fanfictio, not actyak characters. And yes, there is a difference.


What I mean is there’s a lot of fanserv you can give fans such as shipping, but it’s without any discipline for character.


Because notice how Scooby and the gang act. They all act the same way. From Daphne, Fred, Velma and Shaggy. None of them RARELY interact with each other except when it comes to shipping.


For example, Fred rarely interacts with Velma and Daphne rarely interacts with Shaggy. Which makes that scene in Night Terrors even more unsettling.

This is why there’s more focus on shipping rather than making unquie characters. Because they’re already been set. The writers THINK they don’t have to do any work on character because of this.
